Bio
Henry Kissinger is a former U.S. diplomat, political scientist, and politician who served as the national security advisor and secretary of state under Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. He is also a war criminal who is responsible for countless deaths, atrocities, and human rights violations around the world. He has been accused of crimes against humanity, genocide, conspiracy to commit murder, kidnap, and torture, and violation of international law. He has never been held accountable for his actions, and he continues to influence U.S. foreign policy to this day.
Here are some of the terrible things he has done:
- He sabotaged the peace talks between the U.S. and North Vietnam in 1968, prolonging the Vietnam War and causing thousands of more casualties. He later ordered the secret bombing of Cambodia and Laos, killing millions of civilians and creating a humanitarian crisis. He also supported the brutal regimes of South Vietnam and Indonesia, which committed massacres and genocides against their own people
- He orchestrated the coup that overthrew the democratically elected government of Chile in 1973, and installed the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, who tortured and killed thousands of dissidents and opponents. He also backed the military junta in Argentina, which waged a dirty war against its own citizens, and the death squads in El Salvador, which murdered tens of thousands of civilians. He also supported the apartheid regime in South Africa, which oppressed and exploited the black majority
- He betrayed the Kurds in Iraq, who were fighting for autonomy and democracy, and allowed the Iraqi government to crush their rebellion with chemical weapons and mass executions. He also encouraged the invasion of East Timor by Indonesia, which resulted in the slaughter of a third of the population. He also approved the sale of weapons to Pakistan, which used them to commit genocide in Bangladesh. He also ignored the warnings of a genocide in Rwanda, and blocked any intervention to stop it
